Fintara FZCO is a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, providing digital accounting services to UAE small and medium-sized businesses. For the personal data described in this policy, Fintara FZCO acts as the data controller. You can reach us at office@fintara.ae.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide to us and information generated when you use our website or services, including:

• Contact and identity details, name, email address, phone number, company name and trade licence details;
• Financial and business records you share so we can deliver our services, invoices, receipts, bank statements, payroll data, VAT and tax information;
• Correspondence, messages, enquiries and documents you send us;
• Website usage data, basic technical information such as browser type and pages viewed, used to keep the site secure and working.

3. How we use your information

We use personal data to:

• Provide and administer our accounting, VAT, corporate tax, payroll and reporting services;
• Prepare and submit filings to the UAE Federal Tax Authority and other authorities on your behalf;
• Communicate with you about your engagement, deadlines and enquiries;
• Meet our legal, tax, anti-money-laundering and record-keeping obligations;
• Operate, secure and improve our website and services.

4. Legal bases for processing

Under the UAE PDPL, we process personal data where: you have given consent; processing is necessary to perform our contract with you; processing is required to comply with a legal obligation; or processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests, balanced against your rights.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary:

• With cloud accounting platforms we use to deliver your service, such as Zoho Books, Xero and QuickBooks Online, typically under your own subscription;
• With UAE authorities and regulators, including the Federal Tax Authority, where required for filings or by law;
• With trusted service providers who support our operations (for example secure IT and hosting), under confidentiality obligations;
• With professional advisers, or where required to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

6. International transfers

Some of the cloud services we rely on may store or process data on servers outside the UAE. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards consistent with the UAE PDPL.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal obligations. Accounting and tax records are generally retained for at least seven years, as required by UAE corporate tax and commercial law. When data is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymise it.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls, encryption in transit, and reputable cloud infrastructure, to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information at all times.

9. Your rights

10. Cookies and third parties

Our website uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed to function and stay secure. It loads a small number of third-party resources, such as web fonts and animation libraries from their content-delivery networks, which may receive basic technical request data. We do not use these for advertising.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
